Description

The Castle, located on Castle Street, is a building from the 17th century that was largely rebuilt in the 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar and has three storeys. The building features a modillion eaves cornice and four ranges of double-hung sash windows, which have glazing bars and are topped with crowning cornices. There is a Tuscan portico at the entrance, complete with a crowning pediment. On the south side, the building includes Venetian windows and one mullioned casement. Attached to the garden wall on the north side are two castellated turrets, one round and the other square.
