Description
This is a late 18th-century building comprising shops and flats above, originally the Eden Hotel. It has incised stucco walls with stone dressings, a slate roof with projecting eaves, and yellow brick chimney stacks. The building is two bays wide and three storeys high. The shop fronts and entrances are 20th-century additions. The tripartite sash windows retain glazing bars and are set within plain stone surrounds. The building was constructed in a similar style to the Howard Arms Hotel next door and is listed for group value.
