Description
This is an 18th-century building with a front façade dating to the early to mid-19th century, situated on Fore Street. It is a three-storey structure, originally stuccoed, lined, and painted. The upper floors feature flank pilasters. The windows are sash windows with consoles and cornices, containing glazing bars. A decorative wooden eaves cornice with a bed mould is present. A first-floor canted splay bay is topped with a cornice and slate roof. The ground floor currently contains a modern shop. The north-facing return is rendered and three storeys high, with three sash windows at the first floor. Two of these windows have glazing bars and flush frames. The building forms a group with the Anchor Hotel (Nos 7 to 51, odd) and the Evangelical Church.
