Description

The Evangelical Church, originally the Brethren’s Chapel, was built in 1853. It is constructed of local stone. The front of the building features a loggia porch supported by circular columns. Above the porch are three casement windows with segmental heads and glazing bars. A wide eaves cornice runs along the roofline. The church was restored following damage caused by an explosion. It is set back from the main street frontage, forming a group with the Anchor Hotel (Nos. 7 to 51, odd).
