Description

College Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located on the south side of Everdon High Street. It is built from coursed squared ironstone and features a plain tile roof that has replaced the original thatch, along with a brick end stack. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. Throughout the building, there are two-light casement windows, with those on the first floor set in eyebrow dormers, all featuring timber lintels. The left gable is stone-coped and includes kneelers, and quoins are present at the corners. The entrance is located at the rear of the house, which also has a three-window wing on the right side, partially covered with a slate roof. Inside, the farmhouse boasts ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams, a stone-flagged hall, and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
