Description

Blacksmiths House is a 17th-century house located on the north side of Everdon High Street. It is built from coursed ironstone and features a ridged pantile roof with stone end stacks. The house has a two-unit plan, is two storeys high with an attic, and has a three-window range. The central door is part-glazed and framed with moulded wood, topped by a chamfered timber lintel. The windows throughout are two-light casements with timber lintels, and those on the ground floor have stop-chamfered details. The building has a plinth, quoins, and stone-coped gables with kneelers. There is a small window with a pointed arched head and stone surround located on the ground floor to the right of the right gable end wall. A 20th-century single-storey extension and entrance have been added to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
