Description

Corner Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located in Lower Tysoe. It is constructed of squared, coursed ironstone with quoins on the left-hand side, and has an old tile roof with a brick ridge stack. The building is two storeys high with a three-window front. It follows a three-unit lobby-entry plan. A 20th-century plank door is positioned centrally on the right-hand side. The ground floor features light mullioned windows with flat splay and a hood mould with label stops, to the left, centre, and right of the facade. Above these are 20th-century two-light wood casements. An additional two-light mullioned window is present on the left-hand facade. The mullions at the rear have been renewed.

Inside, there are two open fireplaces with cambered bressumers, which are chamfered and have stepped stops. Chamfered spine beams, extending through the centre and left units, feature ovolo moulding and stepped stops. The floor is of stone flags. The building demonstrates group value.
