Description

Home Farmhouse and attached outbuilding range is a farmhouse dated 1655 and 1691, situated on Tysoe Lane End in Lower Tysoe. The farmhouse is constructed from squared, coursed ironstone with a new tile roof, brick ridge stacks, and end stacks. It is a two-story, four-window range building organized around a three-unit plan. A 20th-century plank door is positioned centrally to the left, set within a moulded stone surround, complete with a hood mould featuring diamond-moulded label stops and a gabled porch. To the left of the door is a four-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stop. The ground floor centre and right, as well as the first floor, contain 19th-century eight-pane horizontal sliding sash windows with wood lintels. A gabled end to the left displays two blocked lights and a moulded datestone dated 1699. A datestone dated 1655 is located centrally to the right on the first floor. An 18th-century, single-story outbuilding range is attached to the right, featuring quoins to the left. The interior contains chamfered spine beams with stepped stops, and is reportedly home to original roof timbers and some stone flagged floors.
