Description
Studd Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with later alterations, constructed from squared coursed ironstone and featuring steeply pitched slate roofs. The building has stone ridge and end stacks, some of which have twin shafts. It is designed in an L shape with an M-shaped roof on the left side, leading to a double-gabled wing. The farmhouse has two storeys plus an attic and a four-window range. The entrance, located in the angle to the left, features a 20th-century trellis porch and hood. There is a three-light wood casement window in the left return, along with a small window on the right and a blocked opening, both with wood lintels. The first floor includes single, two, or three-light wood casements, also with wood lintels, and two gabled roof dormers. The building has ironstone quoins and 19th-century bay windows at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
