Description

Bennett's Farmhouse, located on Thorpe Road in Upper Wardington, is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building consists of three sections and is constructed from squared coursed ironstone. It features a steeply pitched roof covered with 20th-century tiles, along with stone-coped gables that have renewed kneelers. The farmhouse has stone ridge and end stacks topped with brick shafts.

The layout is a three-unit plan, and the building rises two storeys with a three-window range. On the left side, there is a blocked entrance that has been replaced with a 20th-century window and a wide wooden lintel. The ground floor includes three 20th-century windows, each with wooden lintels, while the first floor mirrors this with three similar windows. The corners of the building are accentuated with ironstone quoins. The interior has not been inspected.
