Description
Fernhollow Farmhouse is a 19th-century farmhouse with medieval and 17th-century origins, located on Queen Street in Upper Weedon. The building is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features a slate roof with brick end stacks. It has a two-unit through passage plan. The central entrance consists of a 6-pane 19th-century door set within a 15th-century moulded doorway that has a four-centred head and a hood mould. To the right of the door, there is a three-light stone mullion window with a hood mould, and a small one-light window to the far right, which has a moulded stone surround and a hood mould. The rest of the structure was rebuilt in the 19th century and includes a very large bay window to the left of the door. The upper storey is corbelled out over the ground floor at both ends, featuring a two-light flat-arched window above the door, flanked by similar three-light windows. There is also a two-storey 19th-century wing at the rear left. The interior has not been inspected.
