Description

The barn at Fernhollow Farm is an 18th-century structure located in Upper Weedon. It is built from coursed squared ironstone, with some cob, and has a corrugated iron roof that has replaced the original thatch. The barn features four bays and has a cart entrance on either side, each with double-leaf plank doors. The building is adorned with quoins and stone-coped gables that include kneelers. There are ventilation slits located at the gable ends. The roof is supported by tie beam collar trusses with clasped principals. This barn is included for its group value.
