Description
This is an early 18th-century farmhouse with an attached barn. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed limestone and ironstone rubble with squared ironstone quoins, and it has a thatched roof and brick stacks. It follows an L-shaped layout with three bays. The central doorway features a wood lintel and a plank door with an overlight. A three-light casement window has a wood lintel to the right of the doorway. A similar window with a wood lintel is located in the right bay on the first floor. All other windows are two-light casements with wood lintels. A rear extension, also from the 18th century and built of similar materials, projects from the left side. This extension is two storeys high with two bays and casement windows with wood lintels; it has a coped gable end. Attached to the end of this extension is an 18th-century barn constructed of coursed ironstone and limestone rubble with a thatched roof. The barn has four bays, including a cart entrance with a double plank door in the second bay from the left, and features a gable end with brick coping. The interior of the farmhouse was not inspected.
