Description
Morningside Cottage is a house that likely dates from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed lias and has a slate roof. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high. The front features a two-window range of 19th-century casements on the first floor and sash windows on the ground floor, all set beneath wood lintels. There is a central 19th-century door that is topped by a late 17th-century four-centred head. Brick stacks are located at both ends of the house. On the left gable, there is a blank window with a moulded stone surround. Additionally, there are 19th and 20th-century extensions at the rear.
