Description
The Dial House is a house dated 1741, built of brick with lias dressings and a plain tile roof. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. The central entrance features a 20th-century door set beneath a stone lintel with a keyblock. The first floor has casement windows with glazing bars, while to the left of the entrance is a mid-19th century bow window also with glazing bars, located under a large wooden lintel. To the right of the entrance is a sash window with glazing bars. The house has large ashlar quoins on both sides of the entrance and at the right-hand gable. There is a moulded stone cornice and ashlar gable parapets on the right. Brick stacks are located at both ends of the house. Above the entrance, there is a sundial with a datestone, and the right gable features patterned brickwork.
