Description
The Orchard Manor is a house dating from 1601, marked by the datestone and initials 'I.R.'. It is constructed from squared coursed lias and features a 20th-century plain tiled roof. The building has a two-unit lobby entry plan and is two storeys high, with a two-window range of 20th-century casements that include leaded lights. The central entrance consists of a three-panelled 20th-century door with a fanlight above, leading to the first floor. There is a moulded stone string course above the ground floor windows and moulded stone heads above the first floor windows. The house has 20th-century gable parapets and a central brick stack. To the left, there is a two-unit extension from the 18th century, made of lias ashlar, which also has two storeys and a two-window range of casements.
