Description

The Hollies is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed lias stone and features a concrete tile roof. The building has a two-unit plan with a cross wing on the left side. It stands two storeys high, with an attic, and has a two-window range of casements that include glazing bars beneath wooden lintels. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door, accompanied by a 20th-century porch. The gable ends have parapets, and there are brick stacks at both ends. A 19th-century extension is located on the left side. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have chamfered ceiling beams and an open fireplace with a bressumer above.
