Description
Home Farm is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of square coursed lias and features an asbestos tile roof. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys tall, with a three-window range of 19th-century casements set under wooden lintels. To the right of the centre, there is a 19th-century part-glazed door, also under a wooden lintel, with a brick flight of steps leading up to it. There is a cellar entrance to the left of the door. The house has brick and stone stacks on the ridge and at the ends, with the right stack being particularly large. The roof was likely lowered in the 19th century. Above the door, there is a fire insurance plaque. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have chamfered ceiling beams and an open fireplace with a bressumer in the room to the right of the entrance. At one point, the building was used as a public house.
