Description
Church Farmhouse is a house that likely dates from the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is built of squared coursed lias and features a slate roof. The house has a three-unit through passage plan and stands two storeys high, with a four-window range of 19th-century casements. To the left, there is a 20th-century door set under a wooden lintel, and a 19th-century canted bay window at the extreme left. The house has large brick stacks at the ridge and at the end. The right gable includes one ground floor window that is blocked and two first-floor windows with moulded stone surrounds. Inside, the kitchen at the far right has an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer and a bread oven, along with a 19th-century staircase made of winders.
