Description
The K6 telephone kiosk in Draughton is a standard design made of cast iron and painted red. It features long horizontal glazing in the door and sides, with crowns on the top panels that are applied rather than perforated. There are rectangular white display signs reading "TELEPHONE" beneath the shallow curved roof. The interior has been modernised with updated equipment. However, the red paint is flaking in many areas, and twelve of its glass panes have been replaced with polycarbonate. The kiosk is situated opposite the Grade II* listed Church of St Catherine and the Grade II listed Church Farmhouse, creating a strong visual relationship with these nearby buildings.
