Description
Park Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of regular coursed lias stone and features a thatched roof. The building has a three-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. The front has a three-window range of casements, which mostly consist of 19th-century frames with leaded lights and 20th-century wooden lintels. There are two 19th-century half-dormers and brick stacks located at the ridge and the end of the house. The left gable includes two 2-light stone mullions. A 20th-century porch is positioned at the side of the house.
Inside, the kitchen features a door opening with a 4-centred chamfered head and remnants of raised cruck construction can be seen. The internal plank and braced doors retain their original strap hinges and latches.
