Description
The former dairy at Little Houghton House, built in the early 19th century, is a single-storey structure with a hexagonal shape and a half-hipped slate roof. The exterior is rendered stone, and it features a canted projection on the east side facing the park. This projection includes a Gothick sash window at the front with a stone sill and a four-centred head, along with similar windows on the right sides and a two-panel door on the left side with a pointed-arched head. There is an additional door at the rear that provides access to the dairy from the yard next to the service wing of Little Houghton House. The dairy is separated from the house's grounds by stone-coped stone walls attached to the left side and the rear right corner. The roof has a deep projection that forms a verandah on the sides facing the house's grounds, supported by rustic timber posts at the angles. Inside, the dairy features slate working surfaces.
