Description
Grange Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of ironstone ashlar and features a plain-tile roof from the 20th century, along with stone end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window range.
The central entrance consists of a four-panel part-glazed door set beneath a stone lintel and key block, located in a gabled stone porch. To the right of the door, there is a blocked one-light window with a stone lintel and key block. The remaining windows on the ground and first floors are tripartite sash windows, each with wooden lintels. The exterior includes a chamfered plinth, a storey band, chamfered quoins, wave-moulded stone eaves, gabled roof dormers, and stone-coped gables with kneelers.
Inside, the farmhouse features a dog-leg stair with turned balusters, chamfered spine beams, and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer. The main section of the building, located to the right of the carriage arch, projects forward and is constructed with coursed limestone walling banded with ironstone.
