Description
Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1830. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone with ironstone dressings and features a slate roof, stone ridge, and end stacks. The building has a double-depth, central staircase plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, displaying a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with a margin and overlight, flanked by two-light casement windows that have flat-arched heads on both the ground and first floors. The exterior includes a moulded plinth and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Inside, there is a stone-flagged staircase hall leading to an open well staircase, which features stick balusters, carved tread ends, a ramped and wreathed handrail, and a cast-iron standard. The principal rooms contain 19th-century marble chimneypieces.
