Description

Field View is a house dated 1763. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone, with some cob sections, and has a corrugated asbestos roof that replaced the original thatch. Brick end and ridge stacks are present. The house follows a 3-unit lobby entry plan. It has two storeys and an attic, with a 3-window front. A 20th-century glazed door is located to the left of centre, set within a 20th-century timber porch. A 20th-century window is on the far left, while the other windows are 3-light casements with timber lintels on both the ground and first floors. The back wall is of cob, faced with brickwork. A lean-to stone pantry extends to the rear. The left gable end features quoins, a stone-coped gable with kneelers, and a datestone inscribed "D/TE/1763."

The interior includes chamfered spine beams, an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer, winder stairs, and a collar truss roof.
