Description
This is a mid-17th century tithe barn, which has been altered in the 18th century and is now used as stables and a garage. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone and limestone, topped with a 20th-century plain-tile roof. The barn is likely to have originally had a two-unit plan and consists of two storeys. The elevation facing the Manor House features three door openings from the 20th century. The left elevation has two four-light stone-mullioned windows on both the ground and first floors, along with a blocked single light opening in the apex of the gable. Inside, the room to the left contains an open fireplace with a bressumer, suggesting it may have been used for domestic purposes. The interior also retains ceiling beams, the original roof structure, and a stud frame on the first floor.
