Description

This barn, located approximately 30 meters southeast of Church Farmhouse, dates from 1743, as indicated by the datestone. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone and features a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn is a single unit with a central cart entrance that has 20th-century doors beneath a wooden lintel. The gable ends are adorned with ashlar parapets and kneelers, and the datestone is positioned on the right gable. There is also a small central plank door on the rear elevation, which is set under a wooden lintel. Inside, the barn retains original collar trusses and purlins, and the tie-beam of the left truss purlin is marked with the date HC 1743.
