Description

Rectory. Probably early C18 origins mainly late C18/early C19, altered C19 and C20. Squared coursed limestone with ashlar facade and artificial slate roof. Double depth plan. 2 storeys. Garden front is a 2-window range with sash windows, with glazing bars, under gauged stone heads, to left and C20 bay window and casement to right. Brick stacks at ridge and end. Entrance front, to right of garden front, has central glazed door with reeded wood surround and rectangular fanlight with curved glazing bars. Rear elevation is a 2-window range of C20 cross casements with glazing bars, under wood lintels. Service quarters to right modified C20. Interior not inspected but noted as having late C18/early C19 staircase with stick balustrade. The rear range may incorporate an earlier house. Included for group value.
