Description
Brooklands is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is built of regularly coursed limestone and features a concrete tile roof. The original layout consists of a two-unit plan and the house stands two storeys high. The front has a three-window range of casements on the first floor, which are situated beneath shallow Lincolnshire dormers. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay with a stone base on the left and a 20th-century casement window on the right, both under old lintels. The central entrance has a 20th-century door with a flat hood above it. The gable ends have ashlar parapets and brick and stone stacks, which are now rendered. The rear elevation includes a leaded casement window to the left and a lean-to extension to the right. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have an open fireplace with a bressumer in the room to the right of the entrance. The building is included for its group value.
