Description
The building is a slaughter house located approximately 20 meters southwest of The Gables. It dates from the early 18th century and is constructed of regularly coursed limestone with a corrugated metal roof. Originally, it had a three-unit plan and is two storeys high, featuring a three-window range of irregularly spaced casements on the first floor, which are set under wooden lintels. There are some 20th-century openings at the ground floor, and a brick stack is located at one end. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is reported to have the original roof structure with thatch. The building was converted into a slaughter house in the 20th century.
