Description
Manor Farmhouse and attached coach house, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The farmhouse is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a plain tile and Collyweston slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and two storeys. The elevation facing the farmyard has a three-window range of casement windows of varying sizes, each set under a flat stone arch with a keyblock. A six-panel door is located to the far left, and a four-panel door is to the far right, both also under flat stone arches. A cross wing projects forward to the left and contains a sash window with glazing bars, set within a flat stone arch with a keyblock. Ashlar gable parapets and ashlar stacks are present at the ridge and end of the building. The garden elevation features three sash windows with glazing bars and a central panelled door with an arch-head fanlight. The rear elevation has some leaded casements. A coach house is attached to the left of the main front, remodelled in the mid-19th century with a brick front and a Collyweston slate roof. It has two plank doors set under segmental arches, and a gable end featuring a leaded cross window. Inside, a passage connecting the coach house and farmhouse contains fielded panels, believed to be reused from an earlier house nearby, which was likely the manor house of the Mulsha family.
