Description
Grange Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century, with later additions from the late 18th century and 19th century. It is built of squared coursed limestone and has a Collyweston slate roof. The original layout was probably a two-unit plan. The building stands two storeys high with an attic and features a four-window range. On the left side, there are 19th-century casement windows, while the right side has 19th-century sash windows. The ground floor on the right has a pair of windows with 17th-century moulded stone surrounds. Between the window ranges, there are two 19th-century part-glazed doors with wooden porches. The roof has a pair of hipped dormers and brick stacks at the ridge and end. To the left, there is a 20th-century lean-to conservatory. The two bays on the left of the main front were probably added in the late 18th century. The right gable features two blocked windows with 17th-century moulded stone surrounds. The rear elevation has an external stone staircase. The interior has not been inspected.
