Description
Home Farm Cottages and the attached barn date from the late 17th century, with part likely converted to a house in the mid-19th century. The building features regular coursed and squared limestone with a slate roof. Originally, each house had a one-unit plan and the structure is two storeys high. The front comprises a two-window range with 19th and 20th century casements, some of which have glazing bars, all set under flat brick arches. The attached barn on the right has a central cart entrance with plank doors that reach up to the eaves, flanked by slit vents. The gable parapets are made of ashlar, with the right one featuring a finial. There are brick stacks at the ridge and end of the building. The interiors have not been inspected. At the rear, there are two 19th century plank doors leading to the houses, also under flat brick arches, with flanking casement windows. This building is included for its group value.
