Description
No. 9 Oundle Road is a house and former bakehouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed from regular coursed and squared limestone, topped with a roof of Collyweston slate and plain tiles. The building originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, featuring a three-window range of casement openings with wooden lintels. There are two 19th-century plank doors, also under wooden lintels, located at the center of the façade. The gable ends have ashlar parapets and kneelers, with ashlar stacks at both ends. To the right, there is a single-storey, one-unit extension that matches the main building's style and roof material. Although the interior has not been inspected, the left-hand range is noted to contain an open fireplace and a bread oven.
