Description
No. 21 is a house located on West Street in Easton on the Hill, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. The façade includes a two-window range of 19th-century casements beneath renewed lintels, and there are two gabled eaves dormers with similar casements. A central 20th-century door is situated under a concrete lintel. Brick stacks are located at both ends of the house. To the right, there is a 19th-century lean-to extension, and to the rear left, a 20th-century single-storey extension. The gable ends have triangular vents that are now blocked, suggesting that the structure may have originally been a barn. The interior has not been inspected, but it likely contains remains of a blocked open fireplace.
