Description

A farmhouse, now a house, dating to the 17th century with additions from the early 19th century. It is situated on High Street, Easton on the Hill. The building is constructed of regular coursed limestone and lias, with a Collyweston slate roof. Originally planned as a two-unit dwelling, it now comprises three units. The facade features a four-window arrangement of casement windows with glazing bars, all set beneath wooden lintels. A 20th-century door is located to the left of the centre, also beneath a wooden lintel. Rebuilt stone stacks are present at the ridge and end of the building. A bay to the right was added in the late 17th century and is visually distinct from the main range by a straight joint. The rear elevation includes some 20th-century dormer windows. Inside, rooms to the left and right of the entrance have open fireplaces with bressumers; the fireplace in the room to the right was likely added later. A staircase from the early 19th century, with a stick balustrade, is present. Early 19th-century corner cupboards are found in the hall and in the room to the right.
