Description
No. 16 is a house located on Oundle Road, built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with ashlar and has a slate roof. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, featuring a two-window range of casements with glazing bars set under stone lintels with keyblocks. The central entrance consists of a 19th-century plank door, also under a similar lintel. There are brick stacks at both ends of the building. The rear of the house mirrors the front, with casements positioned under shallow brick arches. There are no notable internal features. The house is mentioned in the records of the Congregational Chapel from 1790 and is included for its group value.
