Description

This is a group of three dwellings comprising a late 17th-century, 18th-century, and early 19th-century building, originally two houses and a public house. The building is constructed of squared, coursed limestone ashlar with thatch and slate roofs. Number 9 is two storeys high, while numbers 10 and 11 are single storey with an attic. The facade presents a six-window range of 19th and 20th-century casement windows. The windows in number 9 have stone lintels, while those in numbers 10 and 11 have wooden lintels, with eyebrow dormers lighting the attic. There are two 19th-century panelled and plank doors located to the left of the centre, protected by a wooden lintel. The building has ashlar gable parapets and brick and ashlar stacks at the ridge and ends. A small, leaded casement window is located at the rear of number 11. The interiors of numbers 10 and 11 feature open fireplaces. Number 11 contains a 19th-century range with an attached settle and an 18th-century corner cupboard. A late 17th-century moulded stone fireplace is located on the first floor of number 11.
