Description

Number 22 and its attached outbuildings and studio are a house and outbuildings, now serving as a house and studio, dating from the late 17th century and 18th to 19th centuries. The structure is built of squared coursed limestone and ironstone, topped with a Collyweston slate roof. It features a two-unit plan that has been altered to form an L-shape and is a single storey with an attic.

The elevation facing Church Street has a gable end on the right and an irregular two-window range of 20th-century casements beneath wooden lintels. The bay on the right is likely from the 19th century. A central brick stack is present. The rear elevation includes a two-window range of 19th and 20th-century casements under wooden lintels, a 20th-century glazed porch at the intersection of the ranges, and a cart entrance in the centre of the rear range. There is also a 20th-century dormer window in the studio on the far left. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
