Description

Carrol Spring Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1836 for Reverend Samuel Woodfield Paul, who was the Vicar of Finedon. The building is constructed from regularly coursed limestone and features a slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a two-window range. The central door, which dates from the 20th century, is set beneath a flat arch head with a keyblock. The casement windows are also positioned under flat arch heads with keyblocks. The roof is hipped and has brick stacks at both ends. A datestone located between the second-floor windows displays Reverend Paul's initials. The farmhouse was allocated to the Vicar of Finedon as part of the Enclosure Act of 1806. The interior has not been inspected.
