Description
The Limes is a house that likely dates from the mid-18th century and was remodeled in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone with ashlar dressings and has a 20th-century concrete tile roof. The original layout was a three-unit plan. The house stands two storeys high and features a four-window range of 19th-century cross windows on the first floor, which are set under stone lintels. On the ground floor, there is a central tripartite sash window flanked by canted stone bay windows on either side. To the left of the center, there is a 19th-century glazed door with a 20th-century outer door and a moulded wood surround. The house has brick stacks at the ridge and at the ends. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
