Description
The Cottage is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, likely dating from the late 17th century and mid 19th century. It features squared coursed lias stone with a thatched roof and has a T-shaped plan. The building is two storeys high. The entrance front consists of two wings, each with a single window range of casements that have glazing bars. The two windows on the right have leaded lights beneath wooden lintels. The left wing, which is from the mid 19th century, includes a six-panel door with glazed top lights and a lattice porch. The gable ends have ashlar parapets and kneelers, with brick and stone stacks at each end. The rear wing is similar in style. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to have ceiling beams and panelled reveals around some of the ground floor windows.
