Description
Ivy Cottage and the attached barn to the east are mid-18th century buildings that have been converted into two dwellings. The house is constructed from regularly coursed lias stone and features a slate roof. Originally designed as a three-unit plan, it stands two storeys high and has a three-window range with irregularly spaced casements that include glazing bars and are set under wooden lintels.
No. 24 has a central six-panel door with a 19th-century wooden porch, while No. 26 has a 20th-century door located at the far left. The two bays to the left of the building project forward and have lower eaves. The gable ends are adorned with ashlar parapets and kneelers, and there are brick and stone stacks located at the ridge and ends. Attached to the left of No. 26 is an 18th-century barn that has been converted into a garage. Although the interiors were not inspected, No. 24 is noted to have an open fireplace with a bressumer.
