Description
No. 5 Duchess End is a building that dates from the early 18th century and was originally two houses that have since been combined into one. It features regular coursed lias stonework with a thatched roof and has a three-unit plan. The building is single storey with an attic and has a three-window range of casements with glazing bars, all set under wooden lintels. There are three eaves dormers in the attic. Between the windows, there are two 20th-century doors, both under wooden lintels; the door on the left has a 20th-century porch. The building has brick stacks at the ridge and at the end. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have remains of an open fireplace.
