Description

This is a house, dating to 1633, as indicated by a datestone. It is constructed of squared, coursed, and partly banded ironstone and limestone, with a slate roof. Originally designed with a 2-unit plan, the house now has 2 storeys. The front elevation features a 2-window range of 19th and 20th century casement windows beneath wooden lintels. A central doorway has been replaced with a window. An ashlar gable parapet rises from the roof, with kneelers on the right side and brick stacks at the ends. A 20th century single-storey extension and porch are attached to the left. The right gable, facing the road, has two 3-light stone mullion windows, with one light blocked on the ground floor. A re-cut datestone is set within the gable. The interior was remodelled in the 20th century.
