Description
The Old House is a house dating from the late 17th century, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is built of regularly coursed ironstone and has a slate roof. The original layout was likely a three-unit plan. The house has two storeys and features a four-window range of leaded casements on the first floor, while the ground floor includes three- and four-light stone mullion windows. The far left window is completely blocked, and the window to the right of centre is partially blocked. The house has ashlar gable parapets and kneelers, with a 17th-century ashlar stack on the left and a rendered brick stack on the right. The left gable has a shallow projection with a chamfered plinth. The rear of the house is rendered and includes a large lateral stack and a plank and studded door. The interior has not been inspected.
