Description

No. 4 Church Street is a house that dates from the late 18th century and 19th century, though it has earlier origins. It is built of squared coursed ironstone and has a slate roof. The house originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall. The front features a three-window range of 19th-century sash windows, some of which are partially rendered over, all set under wooden lintels. In the centre, there is a 19th-century part-glazed door, also beneath a wooden lintel. The gable ends have ashlar parapets and brick stacks. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
