Description

This is an early 18th-century house located on School Lane. It is constructed from squared coursed ironstone, with a concrete tile roof. The house follows a three-unit plan and extends over two storeys, with a three-window facade. The first floor has 19th-century casement windows, each topped with a wooden lintel and a gauged stone head. The ground floor features a mix of 19th-century casements and a tripartite sash window, also set within gauged stone heads. A 19th-century panelled door is located to the right of the centre, sheltered by a stone lintel. The roof has ashlar gable parapets, and there are brick and stone stacks at the ridge and ends, along with ashlar plinths. A blank stone tablet is positioned to the left of the centre. A 19th-century extension adjoins the rear of the property. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
