Description
No. 15 High Street is a house dating from the 18th century, with some parts rebuilt in the 19th century. It is constructed of ironstone ashlar with brick on the sides and features a slate roof and a brick end stack. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range where the right bays are slightly set back. The central door, which is part-glazed and from the 20th century, is set in a stone surround with a keyblock. The windows are 19th-century sashes that have moulded stone sills, surrounds, and lintels, also with keyblocks. The house has a stone plinth, a first-floor string course, moulded stone eaves, and chamfered quoins. The gable is stone coped and includes kneelers. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
