Description
This is a house located at 69 High Street, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of ironstone ashlar, with brick at the rear, and features a 20th-century slate roof that has one brick chimney stack at the right end and another at the rear. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall. The main facade displays two 18th-century wooden casement windows, one on each storey, positioned to the right of a 19th-century wooden part-glazed door. There is a continuous wooden lintel above the door and the ground storey windows. The left side facing the road has two 19th-century horned sash windows with wooden sills and wooden lintels above them. The corners of the building are accentuated with quoins, and the gables are topped with coped kneelers. At the rear, there is a 19th-century brick workshop wing. The house is included for its group value.
